Does anyone know how to do a purge of a mailboxes dumpster items for all folders without having to go to each folder and selecting all recover deleted items and then doing a select all and deleting.

My problem is that I have many email duplicates after having to export back numerous vaulted items from Enterprise Vault. I need a quick and effective way of purging the already deleted duplicates from dumpster as they make up more than 30% of our 1TB of storage.

I understand that i could change my deleted items setting from the current 14 to 1 but I do not wish to affect all users.

hope you can help,

nich

Mailbox Manager Recipient Policies are your friend. Configure the affected mailbox(es), and set your Deleted Items retention time to 0 days. Then manually run Mailbox Management at the server level, and you should find it all clean and fresh.

Alternatively, logon to the affected mailbox via Outlook and set an AutoArchive policy to permanently delete anything in the Deleted Items folder after one day.
