I'm a little confused as to what the printer settings in Crystal Reports do. I'm trying to set up a report to print to a certain printer in our office. No matter what I do in the report set-up, the report always prints to tray 4 - plain letter. I'm running the report from within goldmine, but changing printer settings there make no difference either. When setting up the report in Goldmine I have the choice of default printer or layout printer. Both give the same result. Any thoughts?

Are you printing from within Crystal reports, or from within Goldmine?

In Crystal, going into the Printer setup properties, you should be able to specify the paper tray.

Goldmine may be overriding any printer settings if you're printing from within there.

I am printing from within Goldmine. Changing printer settings in Goldmine works for Goldmine reports, but Crystal defaults to the system's printer settings. If I go and change the system settings to tray 1 (which is what I want) then it works. Perhaps this is more of a Goldmine question/problem than Crystal.
