have this working in a 4.1 system where we use force feed auto answer (headset & speaker) but the phone rings once before being connected.

According to the manual this shouldn't be happening - only a beep in the ear, which is shxt in a noisyish call centre.

Does anyone know of a workaround in 4.2.11?

TT

So it has a fixed headset?!

I've bet you have tried it but did you try the FF in the Action data?

IP Office Software Level: 1.0+.

• Action: Emulation -> Internal Auto-Answer.

• Action Data: Optional.

• If left blank this function acts as described above for internal auto-answer.

• IP Office 4.1+ supports the entry of FF as the Action Data. In that case the button will enable/disable headset force feed operation for external calls. In this mode, when headset mode is selected but the phone is idle, an incoming external call will cause a single tone and then be automatically connected. This operation is only supported on Avaya phones with a fixed HEADSET button. Ring delay is applied if set on the call or line appearance button receiving the call before the call is auto-connected.

Hey Bas, yea I have the key programmed in User Rights (only place where it rings once) as FF on 4.1. But the upgrade to 4.2 set it back to beep once.

Have played around with the *DCP 0,0,2,2,0 settings but still no joy. I saw a thread some time back where the 0,0,2,2,0 has meanings to timers etc but if someone can clarify this or even better have a resolve.

The ring delay means no ring. Seems like a really bad feature if there is not an option to have a ring.

Stuck on 4.1.1201 at the mo but the CCC is on 5.0.61 and vmpro on 4.2.24 so as you can imagine things are starting to go a bit wobbly...

Could it be that it has something to do with or without the "" so "FF"

This wasn't in before the IPO sometimes add the " automaticly and sometimes not and then you need to add them?!

never thought of that, not in a pos now to try , will do 2m, tnks Bas, keep the thinking cap on..

A tip..

Set a button for turning the ringer off:
In Manager: User or User rights / Button programming / Emulation / Ringer Off

Or:
walk through the phones settings to find alerting and
set it to off if you want this setting to be permanent on these phones.
Option / Ring Options
16-series: [A] / scroll to call settings...

Have you tried on the PBX changing the station under Feature options, active station ringing to if-busy-single or continuous?

ive had avaya look at it and they confirmed that it should have never worked, 1 of those good bugs we talk about.

I don't know where you mean with your pointer minorpain???
