Does anyone know any clever ways of moving a footer closer to the bottom of a page other than page setup, paper size or printer setup?

footer to bottom of pagem (word 2000)

Hi. There is a solution. It will depend on your printer settings as to how low on the page you can place the item though. It looks like mine will print about 7 mm from the bottom of the page.
Make a text box and place it at the position you want your footer to be. You can either insert the text box from the insert menu, or off of your drawing toolbar. You will probably also want to format the text box so that the border is not used.
