Font Problem

I created a layout in Palintino Bold, however, when the document is opened in another computer the font is defaulting to Palintino with the bold button pressed. Shouldnt it say that the font is not available rather than defaulting. Whats even wiered is that Palintino is not even open in suitcase but still lets me use it and create layouts in quark using that font.

Well there are alot of different versions of the same font out there and if you don't "COLLECT FOR OUTPUT" then you stand the chance of someone else using a different version, thiers more than likely has the BOLD feature built into the font.

As for it not being open in the suitcase the font is more than likely in your system font folder.MAC OS9 uses Palatino in it's system fonts.
