We just upgraded to OS X, I am curious to know what software people are using for font management with X.

I know this isn't really a Quark issue but I know there are quality minds here and wanted to hear your opinion.
We have always used ATM with OS 9.2. It has worked well for us and I would like to continue using it if possible. The auto activate feature is very important for us as we open hundreds of files a week using even more fonts with 5 or 6 different aps. I havn't tried to install it on the G5 because it doesn't say that it is compatible with OSX. (does version 4.6 work?)

I've chosen Suitecase X1, for ease. The FontBook which comes with OSX is the worst. Because it moves the fonts into the system font folder, which is not what I want considering I have thousands of fonts.
This will slow things down a great deal...

Atm will not work with OSX

Agree with previous post. Suitcase X seems to be the way to go. I have always been a keen supporter of ATM, but no product is available for OSX.

Auto open feature does work with Suitcase, but make sure you turn it on in Quark/utilities/suitcase prefs. ***Bug*** make sure you still check your font usage, as it doesn't always pick up missing fonts.

There is also a new patch for QXP that turns off the 'damaged font' warnings.

Happy font management!

I also use Suitcase X1 and I love it. When it auto activates a font, it will also give you the choice of which one to use if you have more than 1 version with the same name -- ie, different customers'.

Another feature that I love is the Quick Type. You can enter your own text and preview it in your different fonts. It's great if you're trying to match something.
