Font changes when showed on a browser

I hope someone can help

i have created a basic website in dreamweaver and when the website went live the fonts i have chosen in dreamweaver do not show on the site. the colours and sizes are the same but looks like they all revert to times new roman when viewed on a web browser. what do i need to do so it shows the fonts i have selected in my design? it is probably really easy but i just cant work it out.

That would depend on the Font and the machine its being viewed on?

Does the Font you chose exist in the machine its being viewed on?

If it doesn't then the browser will revert to a default font, for display.
