Hi All!
We run a Windows 2003 domain enviroment with Windows XP clients. Since this past Spring, we've been experiencing a sporadic problem with Folder redirection. It fails to initialize, but the event viewer gives no other info as to why. Since we use roaming profiles, if the user tries to reboot, they've ruined their profile when this issue occurs. I have them log on to another PC, while still logged onto their's. The folder redirection policy get applied correctly the second time. I then have them logoff their PC, then log off the second PC(which saves the correct profile setting to the server. Now when they log back into their own PC again, its fine. Microsoft was not able to help us with this issue. I suspect that its Symantec Antivirus causing the problem. Symantec Support is not able to help us either. This problem started around the time we upgraded to Symantec Antivirus 10.1. It may be a coincidence, but has anyone else experienced a similar situation?
Thanks
Dan
