Hindsight being what it is, perhaps putting an auto attendant into production that allows sales leeches to find the CEO by name wasn't such a good idea...

How can I foil this? I suppose I could flip the CEO's name around in Audix from LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME to FIRSTNAME, LASTNAME, but is there a better way of doing this? I tried inserting a couple of stars in front of LASTNAME, but that didn't work.

I have a couple of names that I hide, too. I change the name from LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME to XYZ_LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME.

Place a single "*" in front of the name on the extension will prevent dialing to it. For instance *Smith,John.

The * prevents the name from showing in the Avaya soft directory, but does not prevent the Audix mailbox from being reached via a "dial-by-name" auto-attendant.
