Hi group,
I'm creating a db in which I want my clients to be able to only input records and not browse them. The problem is when I go to the "Privileges" section I can't seem to disable the box, "Browse Records". No matter what combination I try, I always end with my clients able to browse.
Any suggestions on how what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks,
Dave

You can't disable the browse function...
A possible way to go...
Set the available comments to none for the restricted password.
In a startup script, hide and lock the status bar...

You have to script every single possible/allowed move for the user...

Or use a plug-in...

...if you have FM 5.5 and/or above, you can use the "Record-by-Record Access Privileges"...

So the user can only 'see' his/her records.
If you want a restriction on that...a plug-in like oAzium will do a very good job.
If you want to stay in FM without a plug-in hide-lock status bar and scripting can do the job...

Thanks folks. I've managed to block the clients from browsing thanks to the script idea.
