Floppy problem

My Daughter has a floppy 1.44mb which has some school work on, when she puts in drive it says floppy is not formatted, so obviously it is corrupt, is there a utility which will allow you to access any data from this floppy.

Try to read another floppy and see if it says the same thing if id does you may need to replace the floppy. Do you have another computer that reads that disk ? If you do virus check the floppy disk.
