Ive got a Sparc Sunblade 150, that ive installed Solaris 8 on. One thing that has been bugging me for the last couple of days is that, when the machine is booted, the floppy drive light will not go off unless I manually issue an eject commmand. Does anyone know why it stays on until I do this?

nawlej,
Check the latest patches... When I first loaded Solaris 8 on my Sunblade 150, I had Volume Manager issues. Don't remember an issue with the floppy drive, but I would have to manually run "volcheck" to get the CD drive up. The latest kernel patch fixed that problem for me.

Well, I fixed it. After I did an initial floppy drive mount with volrmmount, I think thats what I used, it worked fine. I was having a little trouble with it, because I forgot that I turned off volume management. Thats for the idea.
