Flexgrid and subdataSheet question 2

Hi all,
I've a situation where I have to present data in a grid in the form of a data+subdatasheet.
E.G.) Customers and Orders
Given a Customer, the first column of the grid should hold the '+' symbol clicking on which all orders belonging to this customer are listed in the subsequent rows under this customer.. then the next customer etc.,

I do belive that subdatasheet in a flexgrid is needed here. But, Is this possible in VFP(7)? If yes, some example code please. If no, does anyone perhaps know of any alternate way to get this done?

Hi Rajesh,

I would suggest two grids, one parent grid showing Customers and another child grid which will show detailed orders.

If fancy is rquired, you can show only the parent grid of customers in the grid with one + sign in a column and when this is clicked, make the child grid visible. Clicking a minus column in the child grid should reverse the situation.

Fancy is what is required and real estate is a big problem in this particular scenario. Are subdatasheets impossible with VFP?

I never try this, but there are two examples in VFUG (

http://vfug.org:8080).

Login (FREE join) and go to VFUG File Archive area. Then search for 'flexgrid'
