Having a issue with VM has two(2) incoming lines, over line when the first line busy and it comes on 2 it automatically goes to an extension ie: 222 or 247 it seems random, when line one 1 answers it gets the recorded message but not on two?? have checked all line programming and they are assigned exactly the same!and have the same table assigned, i cant figure out why this is happening, any help would be appreciated ...thanks

When you say they are assigned exactly the same, I am assuming you mean in the Flash voicemail only. If that is the case, check the programming on the KSU. It is possible that Line 2 has an appear/ring setting on an extension or two and/or that extension or two is set to appear/ing and also is set to CFNA or CFWB on fewer rings than the CCR tree or auto-attendant. I cannot explain the random extensions as such, but it could appear random but be caused by a set-up like 222 is set to answer on fewer rings than the auto-attendant and has a CFNA set to 247 or some such issue.

Therefore, I first suggest checking the Flash to see how many rings before it picks up, and then going into the KSU and checking the line appearance/ring settings for the extensions that get the "random" line 2 calls and be sure they are not in conflict.

If this is a flash 2 it will only handle 2 calls at a time. You may have a bad channel in which case it will take only one call at a time.

So a possible reasons for the "random" occurrence is: Both channels are busy when a call is received and DRT settings are sending the call to a phone. Or as above a set is programmed to ring and does so when the voice mail is busy. Or a combination of the above scenarios.

Solution: Test the voice mail by using F985 on as many sets as you have channels to busy the voice mail and then call in. Remove any ringing and change DRT for your lines to none.
