When i try to convert a bitmap to a vector graphic with very "tight" settings, Flash5 stops responding. It does not freeze my system, and it does not generate any errors. It simply stops responding and i have to use the task manager to end the task.
i am running a
PIII 1GHz
256MB RDRAM
64MB nVidea GeForce2 Ultra

I was wondering if there was a way to prevent this problem?

Is this the trace Bitmap command you are applying? If so, this can be very slow, I mean very very slow even on a fast machine. Try adjusting the settings a little in the trace bitmap window, this may help. Even so, you may well end up with a huge file or an image you can't really see. It's pretty difficult to find a balance with this although I'm sure someone out there has mastered it. roda B-)
