I have a working flash movie where I would like to add a button. I have followed several tutorials, but no matter what I try I can not get the "Hit" frame to allow me to enter a GoTo command. I would like to have the button go to a particular website page when clicked, but all my options are inactive on the Hit frame. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks very much for the help.

THe hit state of a button correspond to the active area of your button... Where the cursor will change to a pointing finger icon, and not where you should be adding actionscript to your button. In fact you don't add any actionscript on any of your button's states, you had them in the "Actions - Button" window...
Right click your button on stage, and select Actions. This is where you would add your button's actions, such as...

on(release){
getURL(" "_blank");
}

Thanks so much for such a fast response and for such a helpful piece of information. Your advise worked exactly the way I had hoped. I can't understand why a detail as important as that has escaped clear documentation in the other areas where I tried to get help. Maybe I'm just blind!

Thanks Again. [thumbsup2]
