flash mx 2004 pro and web services

Looking on the web I've found numerous ways to connect to a web service with flash:

Web Service Connect component
Flash Remoting
NetService class with as2 and PHP

Does anyone have any recommendations as to which is best? And if so a good source for some implementation information.
