Hi there,
Is there any way to erase the files held in flash?
I seem to be running out of memory on my PIX501. I lost all connectivity through the PIX, and even PDM couldn't connect to it and various memory errors are displayed on boot up.
I've done a mem erase but when I paste my config back in the errors return. Show mem looks like this :
pixfirewall# sh mem
16777216 bytes total, 4919296 bytes free
pixfirewall# sh flashfs
flash file system: version:2 magic:0x12345679
file 0: origin: 0 length:1540152
file 1: origin: 1572864 length:0
file 2: origin: 1703936 length:1506
file 3: origin: 1835008 length:4539600
file 4: origin: 7864320 length:280
Plenty of space free now, before saving the config. How can I erase these files, and am I right in assuming file 0 is the operating system file (and should not be deleted), it's size is very close to the image that loads at boot up (1536512)?
TIA.
