System is R10 and has 3 announcement cards. The customer has 3 flash cards for announcement backup (4Meg). I tried to do a backup of the announcements to one of these flash cards, but I got an error stating that the flash card was formatted at pre R9, also the announcement board locked up and had to be busied out and reset.
If I save translations to these flash cards, will the flash card be formatted at the R10?
Can Avaya re-format the flash cards ?
Do you have to purchase new flash cards?

Not game to save translations, since the annoucement board locked up when a "save ann from" was attempted.

Starting vith V9 the formatting of the flashcards changed. The newer versions can read the old flashcards but can't write to them. The only solution that I'm aware of is to buy new cards. They are available from sources other than Avaya at a substancial savings. One vendor is metroline.com. You cannot buy blank flashacrds and format them. Avaya uses a propriatary format.
