Any ideas how I can make text apper to be on fire??

Are you going to create the flames yourself? or are you looking to have lifelike flames?

Then import the animated .gif in Flash?

Or you could look into 3rd party software as Cool3D ( which has several such effects, and outputs as .swfs.
