Fixed outgoing digit

We have a fax in our PABX and my co-workers are wondering if they have to dial 0- to get a outgoing line or if it's possible to program this in the PABX so they just can dial the number.

I've just printed my system in LD20, to programme you must use LD18.

Now you have to set XLST=2 on the fax or phones that needs the pretranslation.

Check that the phones you don't want to have pretranslation on is set to XLST=0

To activate the function on the system you must set PREO=1 under RDR_DATA in LD15. To disable the feature just set it back to 0.

a little bit faster and not a system wide change, i program faxes to dial 9, by making it a ftr hot d 4 9 with cls manaul.. not as clean an pretanslation but i took out almost 300 outside lines, replaced them with analog sets, the speed calls all still worked due to the fact they didn't have the 9 for external and the few number that are internal all had 434xxxx so it dialed out and back in. since 90+ percent of the faxes were external, it made for a simple change.. all the preprogramed entries still worked and the depts didn't even know it had been switched. i just had the old numbers co forwarded to the new did. that cut my monthlty by 37.50 per fax machine... my boss got a bonus, i got a warm feeling ands a hardy thanks.. next time i'm holding out for a cup of coffee

if you don't love the challange then your going to make a lot more money in management. i am still trying to decide if i like the job or not, i've tried to learn it for almost 40 years and still haven't made up my mind as to what i want to be when i grow up..
