Here's the situation. I am trying to fdisk a computer and when I run fdisk from DOS I get to the "do you want to create more disk space" and when I enter my selection the next thing I get is "fixed disk error". This only happens on this particular PC. I have also tried other Win95 boot disks only to get the same conclusion. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

What o/s was on the machine before you decided to fdisk it, make sure there is no partitions on the Pc at all even non-dos ones. Then it should work, other then that have a look on the net for a better fdisk'n program. I did have a good one but forget what it was called

The OS I had on it was Win95. I tried getting in to see if the partitions were fully deleted but I can't seem to run Fdisk at all because of that disk error.

How about using fdisk /mbr to see if a new boot sector will help. Ed Fair
