When I try to logon to CWW6 (using the default name/password) I receive " Authentication Required" message.

Javascript, Java and Cookies are checked on the logon window as OK.

Also, to access the logon page I must use only
hhtp://mycomputername

not accessible via

When you first login to CWW you should use the admin/admin user/password. Is this the dafult name you are using?

Did you install CWW by yourself? If you did the installation is less probably someone else have changed the admin password but, this is what could have happened. I was trying to locate a password recovery procedure for CWW but I was unable to find it out. Somebody else could help with this.

I would try the user "guest", no password, just to make sure everything else is fine. As a guest there in not so much you could do.

If you are able to login as guest and nobody else could help with the password recovery and, as this is a new installation, I would reinstall the CCW.

The Web server upon installation is set to listen to port 80. However, if that port is in use with a previously installed server, the Web server is automatically set to listen to port 1741.
(default port 80)
