I have a subform called "all orders" with field "Order number" and it's parent form called "order form" with the same field (based on the same table "orders"). The subform lists all of the order numbers associated with a particular customer so you can just click on an order number to see order details.

It would be nice if the order number that is currently being displayed in the parent form "order form" would be highlighted in the order number fields of the "all orders" subform.

Is this possible? Thanks. :-D

C'mon, Steve.... how's mulligh ever going to learn that way? :)

mulligh: How exactly do you want to "highlight" your entry? Is your subform a continuous form or a datasheet? In either case, it's not too difficult to select the correct record with the OnCurrent event of the main form and the .Bookmark property of the subform's recordset. However, if you're thinking of changing the record's background color or something... I don't think that can be done on a continuous form.

If it's a listbox, on the other hand, there's a nice callback function that allows you to apply formatting to individual items... let me know exactly what you want, and I'll try and help you out.
