Firmware upgrade process on a storageTek L180 tape library 1

What is the process/steps to upgrade the firmware on a StorageTek L180 tape library. I have the firmware.

Depends on the version of Firmware really? Where did you get the firmware from? If you got it from STK, then there is a README file to download as well.

comtec17 is correct. lets say ur using version A of the firmware and want to go to the latest, C. well there is one special version, B. that the library must have on the mpc card atleast once or else you will hose the mpc card. there may have been some updates to this issue since i did one last, 2 months ago.

I notice this thread was started on 27th Jan. Did you do the upgrade? If not, what level is your L180 on currently and what is the level is your upgrade?
