Hi Guys

We're running Multivantage 1.3.2. We have a central data centre where we receive our inbound calls and where our S8700 resides (there are no at based there). The calls are then routed to applicable extension using an MPLS network. This set-up have been working very well until 3 days ago when we upgraded the firmware vintage on our Medpro cards TN2302AP to FW102 from FW95. We also upgraded the firmware on our DS1 TN464GP from FW015 to FW017.
Since the upgrade, we have been facing a lot of problems with "silent calls" - basically the phone rings (all phones are Avaya 4620's) but when you answer the phone there is no voice.

My question is - is anyone else having problems with this firmware or is anyone aware of bugs with this firmware? Would appreciate any thoughts before I go ahead and role back the firmware to the previous vintage.

Regards

Tony

We are also using FW17 for our DS1 (TN464) boards with no problems.

We haven't moved up to FW102 for the MedPro boards, since it just came out last week. I usually will not upgrade firmware unless it's been out for a month or more. Try rolling back just the MedPro & see what happens.

Hi Susan

I am planning the role back of the MedPro's tonight. I'll see how things go from there.

we just upgraded our medpro firmware this weekend and Monday morning we couldn't call our remote sites. Once we changed the COR we could call out to remote sites. Was this an issue with firmware upgrade? Nothing had beeen changed prior to the upgrade.

Hi Apait

We have roled back the upgrade as I'm sure there is a bug with the firmware. As soon as we did this all our problems disappeared. We passed all this info on to Avaya but as we have a call centre we couldn't sit around and wait for Avaya to get their act together.

I've been told "unofficially" by several Avaya technicans not to use any firmware that is less than 6 weeks old.

Glad your problem was resolved.
