I received some incorrect information from Avaya Tier 2 when downloading a firmware upgrade for my IP MedPro board TN2302AP from v34 to v45. I was told to download a file called dl_any.bin. I spent 3 hours trying to upload that to my MedPro board and was unsuccessful. I found out from another Tier 3 tech that you can not upload directly to the MedPro Board, you must upload the file to the C-Lan board first. I also found out that when upgrading firmware from v22 and higher it's a different filename tn2302ap_v45.bin. I also received new instructions from the tech via e-mail with a special notice stating that the .bin extension needed to be removed before starting the FTP. In fact it did not work without the .bin extension. So the Lesson's Learned are : To upgrade a TN2302AP board from:
firmware v21 and later, use file dl_any.bin
firmware v.22 and newer, use file tn2302ap_v45.bin
You can not upload directly to the MedPro Board, In my case I uploaded to a TN799DP C-Lan board and you do need the .bin filename, you don't need the f: If anyone has questions about C-LAN or MedPro firmware upgrades, I'm happy to help as I am very familiar with the process now due to trial and error.

You can upload directly to the MedPro using the DL_ANY.bin file. Probably what you were doing wrong is not doing it case sensitive or making the filename DN_ANY... If you don't do those 2 things, it won't take it.. Also you are correct in doing the CLAN way, if you're doing remote upgrades. the CLAN way is the better way to do it, since it is safer... Plus its nice, when you doing it via the CLAN way, it automatically resets the board..

But again, it is possible to upgrade via doing it directly to the MedPro board.. Reason I know this, is because I've done it many times, from V21 (which takes more files) every step of the way to V45...
