Hi!
I wonder if anyone has the latest (V1 R1.1.0 (5.1.30) 12/06/2014 OpenStage WL3 V1 R1.1.0 (5.1.30)) firmware for the OpenStage WL3 wifi phones?
Also known as the Ascom i62 VoWiFi.

As a supplementary question does anyone know how to factory reset it from the device?
Cheers,
L.

The latest software is V1_R1.3.0 (V5.5.7)

Factory reset: Go to Menu->Settings and press 40022, than you see the admin menu
where you can make a factory reset.

I presume you have the USB programmer for the WL3 phones ?

@sbcsu err, no.
Do I need one? I rather assumed I'd be able to flash it it like I've done with the Openstage 15's I've been working on all week?

It may be possible to upgrade them OTA-over the air, I have only used the USB interface which looks like a charging / docking station but has a USB connector, the part number escapes me at the minute but I will look for it.
For more info to see if you can do it OTA

If you are using the Wl3 on HiPath 4000 / OpenScape 4000 V7 then you will need to add the following command:
CHA-ZAND:OPTLOAD;
Example 4K Extension:
(Make OPTIDX=10)
ADD-SBCSU:xxxx,FPP,SIP,a-b-c-d,S0PP,17,17,3,1,3,1,0,0,N,0,30,0,,"SBDSS1",Y,Y,0,10,N,N,,,5,0,,G711,IP ADDRESS,,,,,,,;

Programming the WLAN Handset
This section describes how to configure handsets in the following three different ways:
• By inserting it into a DP1 Desktop Programmer cradle connected using USB to the
WinPDM.
• Over-The-Air (OTA) using the Device Manager in the WSG.
NOTE: This requires that the IP address to the WSG has been configured in the handset. The IP
address is configured using WinPDM or using the handset’s Admin menu.
• Using the Admin menu, it is possible to configure the basic network settings. See 9.
Administration on page 68 for more information about the settings that can be configured.
It is recommended to use the Device Manager application in the WSG to configure handsets in a
large system. The Device Manager can install, upgrade, and configure a large amount of
handsets simultaneously. Another benefit is that the collection of the handsets from users is not
needed.
The WinPDM configures one handset at a time. The handset is inserted in the DP1 Desktop
Programmer, connected to the administrator’s computer using USB.
TIP: It is recommended to use templates when configuring handsets. By using a template, the
same configuration can easily be applied to many handsets simultaneously.
