hello,

i'm working on a site wich is supposed to be finished pretty soon, so your quick responses would be greatly apprciated. here's my problem:

i made a navigation bar in fireworks, using the pop-up menu feature. i exported it to dreamweaver and used it as a template for all the pages. now the problem is that the links from the menu doesn't work on all pages.

i dont know if this is because of the pop-up menu or because of the templates.

i checked the help file of dreamweaver and i t says it has to do with the document relative link. it says that the links should be realtive to the template folder not to the template-based folder.

well that was what i've done but it still doesnt work for the sub-sub folder.

can anybody help me with this? i hope i've been clear enough.

thank you very much

sharif

you'll need to go through the java script on the sub sub pages and change the links probably.
I'd say that when you have created the nav bar bit- and added the links in, it's keeping those links on each new page you make from the template, not updating them.
You'll have to make the javascript editable, and then fix all the links- or alternativly, if you have alot of pages in the sub folders, create a new template with the menus fixed and apply that to the pages instead. Sometimes, when my code just won't behave, I take it outside and make it listen to britney spears music, and when it comes back it's really well behaved. I wonder if it's suffering from post tramatic stress syndrome now..
