I have a simple setup with a perplexing problem:

Point to Point link between two offices with 2620 routers (HOME and AWAY, 10.4.4.0 ). HOME is in the DMZ connected to a Nokia box with Checkpoint (10.3.3.0). Inside of the firewall is 10.2.2.0. The Nokia is directly connected to the Inside and the DMZ. If I create a static route for 10.2.2.0 on HOME with the DMZ interface address of the Nokia box, traffic cannot make it. If I remove the static route, and set the default gateway on HOME to the DMZ interface on the Nokia, the traffic will make it.
Any ideas as to why it will not work with the static route? Al

When you say the traffic gets though using default gateway , is that from the remote site?

What Routing protocol are you running between, home and away? (Generally Static have to be re-distributed)

Example configs would help.

Cheers
