Hi,(using XP Home)

I was using zoneAlarm (free version) as a firewall but have now added my girlfriend's Mac to my network for ICS. The ICS won't work through ZoneAlarmsbut does work when I turn it off. Can I therefore assume that the XP Internet Connection Firewall is sufficient to protect my PC and the MAC and so I don't need ZoneAlarms?

Thanks.

Place your local network in ZA's Trusted zone. 192.168.0.0 subnet 255.255.255.0.

Disable ZA's Lock feature. See the ZA site for more detailed explanations.

Thanks - have now done that but the firewall still stops access to port 80 with TCP flag:S.
Starting to pull my hair out!

Are you trying to Telnet or FTP on port 80?

Your ISP is likely blocking the port, not your firewall.
