Hi I really hope someone can help me on this, not entirely sure this is the right forum for this post. When using Firefox mozilla browser to view a intranet site, which I developed, it attempts to save the home page as a file rather than display it. A window pops up saying : You have chosen to open : which is a application/octet-stream.

Im at a lost to what could be causing the page to download as apposed to simply view. I was thinking perhaps it could be due to any javascript which I have present on the site?..

Any suggestions or advise will be greatfully recieved.

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like your web server is delivering the page with the wrong MIME type. While possible, I doubt if any page-side Javascript would be causing this.

Hope this helps,
Dan

BillyRay, makes a good point, About the server, and about the unlikelyhood of javascript presence in a webpage causing it.

Could we maybe see the page you are reffering to so we can assist further?

Does it happen with all the files, or only with the homepage?
Another thing that comes to mind is , what is the extension of the homepage? html or htm? or something different?
