Greetings all,

I have an issue regarding firefox. When I preview my webpage in IE6, everything is aligned all pretty and how it is supposed to look. I preview in Firefox and it looks like my dog has had a chew on it. The page in question is
If you look at the page in Internet Explorer, it looks fine, but in Firefox, it looks terrible.

Is there anyway I can get it to align correctly? It is only this page that has this problem (it is the only page that has flash embedded). As the title says, I have created this page in Dreamweaver MX 2004 (and a little in fireworks too).

If there is any advice, or tips, or anything I would appreciate your help!

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Probably worth running the page and its individual frames through a validator and fixing the obvious stuff first, then come back if any tricky ones remain.

Hello, Johnwm

Thanks for your reply!

Well, I am not using frames. I have embedded some flash, and using a map for a clickable area (generated by fireworks).

If I "correct" them, they will probably stop working?

Alot of the errors it generates seem a bit daft to me. It says: Line 115 column 16: there is no attribute "SRC".
<embed src="logo.swf"...

how else am I going to tell it where to point to the file to embed?

But my point is, when i design the page in dreamweaver, it is all messed up (flash in top left, line uder is the part that sits next to it, then the navigation under that). In firefox, the page is displayed as is in dreamweaver.

when i view the page with IE, the page looks as I originally intended. I am highly confused by this :(

Any help is appreciated!

Maybe a small misunderstanding, but have a look at the source code view from the link given to find out if your site uses frames. I notice that the <NOFRAMES> link takes you to a different, but very similar looking page.

If you want the page to look the same in IE and in a proper standards-compliant browser, you will almost certainly have to fix the validation errors to start with.
