I'm tring to find machines on my network that might be part of a workgroup. I know I can use LanGuard to scan my network. But I also want to find those that might be running a firewall. These machines are not standard images and need to be removed. Does anyone have any suggestions. I thought about quering DNS or WINS, but that will work only if they are updating them.

are you running DHCP?? this will tell you if they have a ip address and who they are??

"Ask not what your computer network can do for you - ask what you can do to the computer network to give you a quiet moment ."

I know the DHCP isn't windows based. Will it still show a arp cache?
