Hi

I wondered is it possible to find all of the subdomains/hosts on a particular domain?

e.g.

i have a site but I also have test.siteaddresshere.com

Is there any way to lookup the "test" host if you didn't know what it was called or listing all of the other hosts under that domain?

The point I'm trying to make is that

a) will it get crawled if nothing links to it
b) is my "test" subdomain available for all to see by doing some nslookup or something?

Cheers

Thanks

If it's listed in public DNS, then it's available to anyone. Anyone can do a DNS report on your domain from sites like
Good luck,

Hi lhuegele

What report would I run on DNSSTUFF to find all subdomains on my domain?

Cheers

It shouldn't be possible to get a list of all the records of a zone (domain) by default.

that was my thought paella33, I just wondered if there was some query i didn't know about :0)

nslookup with the "ls" parameter would allow you to query a dns server for the records in its zone file if it allowed zone transfers... but like paella said this is typically not allowed (usually by default)
