First let me state that I am new to Access.

Problem: I have created a table of names and addresses. Each month I query the table and create a file of those people that have used our services this month, most of the time people use this service more then once each month. What I would like to do is have a report and print lables of only one occurence that month. How do I do this and please do not assume that I will understand.......

Thanks in advance for your help.

Make a query (Click on the Queries TAB and click New)
Pick the Table where your data is located.
Add the fields you want on your report i.e. Employee ID, Name, time, etc.
The field that you want only one occurrence needs to be a grouped field.
In the design view of the query click on the "Query" menu then click Crosstab
You will see 2 new sections added at the bottom called "Crosstab" and "total"
click on the query menu again and click "Select" query only Crosstab will disappear.
Click in the totals section and find Group by
Run your query (click on the Red Exclamation mark at the top.)

You should see only one occurrence of each in that field.
Save the query and call it "qry-Somename" and close it Where some name is a meaning full name.
To create a report based on this query
Click the Reports TAB
Click New
If you want labels click "Label wizard"
Click on the Drop down at the bottom and find your Query (qry-Somename)
Follow the prompts.
You can actually pick the Avery Label number in the label report.

Hope this Helps

Sounds like you already know how to create a filter, and the Label Wizard creates the labels for you, so the missing piece is what to do after creating the labels. See
