Filter report saved with Data without pulling from the database

Good morning
I'm currently using Crystal XI sp2. I'm trying to schedule a report, saved with data and then filter this report without pulling from the database? Is this possible with Crystal XI? The connection is to an Oracle db with about 10 parameters. I can schedule the report fine, but trying to figure out how to design the report to filter by a prompt or parameter without pinging the database
