It seems that windows NT allow other access to an already opened file by using the last saved version.
In Win95, I can't access to an Open file !?!
1) My users open an Excel file and do some modifications.
2) They save the Workbook.
3) The Excel file is still open.
4) They run a little Access 97 application that open the same Excel file to analyse it.
In WinNT, no probs, my Access application seems to use the last saved version.
In win95, I got a error message because the file is already opened.
My Questions are :
Is this true ?
And there is a workaround with win95 ?
And if I open the file in Read-Only with Access ?
Thanks, I haven't find any other topics like this...
