I know this question shouldn't be in this forum but this is where all the technical people are. I recently visited a free web site that directed me to a inapproiate site. I closed the window as fast as i could but that site copied a file onto my desktop. This file is very obseen and i can't find a way to delete it. It says sharing violation when i try to delete, copy, or cut it. So how can i get rid of the file.

Go to your Desktop Manager (right click on properties); then choose the "Desktop" tab; then choose "Customize Desktop" then choose "Web" and there should be a checkbox there with the offending data. At least, there is a good chance it will be there. If not, you might have to do serious searching...its annoying, isn't it?
