We (2 graphic designers(2 G-4's) need to both work on a catalog book separated in chapters in Quark 6.5. We changed the permissions. I can work on it, in her drop box but when she opens it now, it won't let her save. says access denied.
please help. we don't know what to do with the chapter she can't save now. I don't know if we should call Quark or Apple.
Unfortunately, she had only 1 copy of this and did not save a back up copy. When I open it, using my machine in her drop box it is fine. We are on such a tight deadling our manager wants us both to be working on this catalog.

Check your pwnership and permissions. Right clicl or control click on the Q6 doc to get the contextual menu and go to Get Info. Go to ownership and permissions and click the triangle next to Details. make sure that Group has full read/write permissions. You might have to repeat this for both the user's drop box and the shared folder - both on the startup drive under Users.

Drop box is supposed to be write only. Try putting the thing in the Shared folder for direct access from the other's machine, rather than the drop box within the Shared folder.

Using OSX 10.3.8 on a G4
