I am trying to setup a shared folder on XP Prof.
I ran the 'Network Setup Wizard' and enabled the File Sharing. However, it keeps getting disabled automatically.
On Folder -> Properties -> Sharing tab, I get the same message:
'As a security measure, Windows has disabled remote access to this computer. However, you can enable remote access and safely share files by running the Network Setup Wizard'
Network Setup Wizard enables File Sharing temporarily, which gets disabled upon restart.
Besides this, I also:
- Disabled 'Simple File Sharing'
- Checked Firewall Exceptions that File Sharing is allowed.
However, just cannot get the file sharing to work.
Any suggestions to resolve this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time.
