Here's the situation:
We have a domain network on one location and a workgroup network at a remote location. The domain location ip is 192.168.2.x and wkgrp loc is 192.168.4.x. I want to share a folder at the workgroup loc and apply certain permission to a set of users.

I can see the shared folder when I connect from the domain location, but unable to access and write to it unless the permission on that folder is access for Everyone. If I took the everyone group out, I am unable to open it. I've added my user name on the local machine, but not much help since it's local and I'm in a domain network.

Please advise. Thanks

Try to change the workgroup name & DNSsuffix same as domain name, create local account &password same as domain user.

what winoto is describing is for pass through authentication...huge administrative burden, but your only option if you do not want to give the everyone group perms.
