Hi,
We are in the process of adding more machines to our network. The product we have is Arcserve File Server Suite. What was shipped to us was the same disc we got when we upgraded to R12 Backup for windows. The intuitive part of me says all I need to install is backup agent for windows and backup agent for open files. However, I've learned with Arcserve not to follow my intuition. Should I go with my gut feeling or is there something else I should be doing. We don't want or need to manage anything from the new machines. All the storage for backups will be on the current primary server. Based on my conversations with CA sales all I really need is the backup agent and the open file agent. If the server suite has additional functions I'd like to know about them.
Thanks,
- Joel
