I want to setup a backup server. I want it to be identical to my primary. Anything that happens to one server it automatically happens to another. I am assumming this is File Replication Service. Does anyone have a step by step instructions on how to set this up? It is going to be part of my DR plan. How is everyone doing this? I have looked at programs from NSI and just trying to get what is best to do.

Thanks in advance.

FRS will allow you to sync up files but not do what you are saying. It sounds like what you are looking for is a cluster.

I hope you find this post helpful. Please let me know if it was.

We work also NSI Double-Take ( It's a good high-availability tool! It has some really nice features inlcuded, like "automatic or manuall failover"...

It's one of the best replication tool!
