We have got a website that has got a file upload facility for PDF and images. When a file (mainly PDF) is uploaded with spaces in the filename, and then edited using the admin section the file name appears with out spaces but underscores (_) in place of the spaces. We are using CFDIRECTORY to get the contents of the directory and then populate the drop downlist in the normal way. Its not a problem as such, it was just strange, was wondering if anyone wlse had experienced this. The OS is Win2K, and I am not sure of the CF version guessing 4.5. Has anyone else experienced this ???

File Renaming when uploading

Hey Arperry,
Most systems don't like spaces in file names so I would suspect that CF will always change uploaded file names to ones without spaces. I've never seen this written anywhere but I would actually be more surprised if it didn't rename them.
