When I open a document in word 2002 and try to save it I receive a file permissions error and must save the file as another name. If I then re-open the file and try to save it I will receive the same error and have to save to yet another name.
If I create a word document it will save fine the first time but then have the above mentioned problem there after. The same problem happens if the file was origionally created in an earlier version of Word.
The OS is Windows 2000 and Word 2002 build 10.2627.2625 and NO the files are not set as read-only.

Any comments are appreciated! Chuck

Sigh! Well after posting the above message I figured out what the problem was. I needed to turn my Cache Writes to Off in my network client software. Problem solved, Thanks for taking the time to read these posts. Chuck
