I know how to go about making downloadable files (.txt, .pdf) but when I try to make downloadable graphics (.jpg and .gif) they open in the browser. How can I make graphics downloadable like other files?
It is very difficult (if not impossible) to override the application/vnd value for images to stop them from being viewed in the browser window. You can imagine how dull that would be!
I'm afraid it's down to some explanatory text
"To download the image right-click on the link and select 'save target as..' and choose to save the file to your hard drive"
Or zip up images into a self extracting archive first...
