Does using the windows file encryption prevent a virus attack from deleting or corrupting them?

Well, I don't have a deep knowledge of the internal mechanisms of Windows file encryption, but as a general answer I'd say no.

Encryption can assure that the content is not accesed, but AFAIK the files have the same r/w permissions, so viruses can access to them the same way.

With respect to corruption, my thought is the same, but this time, encryption gives you a way to detect it: a corrupted file won't be decrypted.

Cheers,
Dian
