File already in use error message

We have a database on a server. With 3 different users trying to access it. When one person is in the database, no one else can get into it. When that second person trys to open the database, they get a "File already in use" message.

Have you check the folder permissions? Users must have full permissions on the folder. Is the database split? If not, is anyone doing development / design work? If users need to do design, you must split the database and work out some system for the changes to be shared.

I ended up exporting all of the objects into a new database. Now everyone can access it. The database was split, and they were having major performace issues. Now with one database on the server, the performance is much better.

So no that it is not split, there is no way for a person to make in the database if someone else has the database open?Thank you for your help

I am not quite sure what you are saying. If you mean can two people use the database if one is make changes to the design, the answer is no.
