Ok here is my situation I have a call centre with 9 PCs that access a network drive on A NT4 TS. These machines were previously WIndows 98 I have upgraded the machines to Windows 2000 and the users are complaining that the search for files on this network drive (about 1.4 mil) has slowed down.

Currently they are stored month folder then a day folder depending on the day created. There is usually about 400-500 new files created daily by a different department that the call centre users need to access.

If someone could point me in the right direction as to why the file search slowed down I would be very grateful
